About Summiteer

~Kidsty Pike~

A featured fell is my way of studying each fell in turn and recording thoughts and observations.

Kidsty Pike has a very prominent peak when viewed from many angles, particularly the north-east and around Shap. One of the problems for the photographer is finding a good place to capture this feature. Selside Pike and Branstree may qualify but the only time I have been on these two, it was grim.

Kidsty Pike is one of four summits which can form a high level circuit that would reward the fellbagger with all these summits and cover a distance of just over 2 miles. The others being The Knott, Rampsgill Head & High Raise.

Once a page such as this has been set up, I can add to it when new photos become available. It's important for me to climb Selside Pike and Branstree on a fine day and seek out a good view of KP from the south-east.
